Host your own screening

One of the ways to help spread the message of this film is for you or your organization to host your own screening. To do this you’ll need to purchase a screener pack which contains a DVD, a handy guide with some helpful tips of how to organize a screening, plus a license that gives you the rights to screen the film in a public setting.

The cost of a screening license is $75 and is good for a one-time screening only.

(If you anticipate more than one screening, please email me and I’m more than happy to work with you to make it possible)

You may charge admission or ask for donations to cover your costs plus any additional money you make is yours to keep. It’s a great way to help others who are interested in Self-Directed Learning and Unschooling to see the film, plus it’s a good way for you to fundraise for your organization.

Please note that while I certainly appreciate you wanting to get the film seen widely, simply owning a DVD does NOT give you the right to screen the film publicly or charge audiences to see the film. Screening the film publicly without a license is an infringement of my intellectual property. Please be respectful.

About the film

Through the stories of six extraordinary individuals, Self-Taught explores what self-directed education means to them and the impact it has had on their lives, ambitions, work and beliefs.

Whether Artist, Scientist, or Entrepreneur, they all have one thing in common: their belief that a true education is the capacity to author your own life instead of merely accepting the one you’ve been handed.
