Cue the music!
I’m thrilled to announce that composer Jonas Friedman has officially come onboard and has already begun work on the music for the film. If you watched my last documentary, Class Dismissed, you may remember that Jonas also composed the music for that film so I’m really happy to be working with him again. Jonas is an incredible composer and multi-instrumentalist and his original music brought Class Dismissed to a whole new level. I can’t wait to see what he does with Self-Taught.
Here’s some more information about Jonas and his work:
Jonas Friedman is a Los Angeles based music composer and producer. He has written music for multiple television series including the relaunch of two popular FOX franchises, The X-Files (seasons 10 & 11 with composer Mark Snow) and 24: Legacy (with composer Sean Callery). Additionally, Jonas has written music for CBS’s hit show Blue Bloods as well as Marvel’s limited series InHuman’s on ABC.
In film Jonas has collaborated with blockbuster film composer Junkie XL on the upcoming James Cameron produced film Alita: Battle Angel as well as Peter Jackson’s Mortal Engines and Channel 4’s upcoming mini-series Chimerica. A few other projects that Jonas has composed original music for include BBC America’s Copper (2013, produced by Barry Levinson and Tom Fontana), the documentary feature Class Dismissed (2015), and the documentary feature To Hell & Back: The Kane Hodder Story (2017).
